Sadhana Solanki worked in the corporate world for 19 years before returning to her passion - drawing. While she has always been a talented artist, it is only in the last four years that she has honed her skills and concentrated her talent into Charcoal, a form that brings out the rawness of human spirit and lays bare the fleeting nature of existence, be it sadness or excitement.
Sadhana’s portraits draw out a story, one which the viewer weaves using the clues left by the artist. There is a tale in the wrinkles under the eyes of a smiling man, or the slight angle at which a farmer's turban tips. She does not just illustrate portraits, but designs the elements of a story that we all help conclude.
Sadhana has had exhibitions in Pune and Dubai. This will be her first in Mumbai.
