Manthan- Anisha Sanghani
A U.S.-based Indian mixed-media artist, educator, and designer presents Manthan at the Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery, Mumbai. A drawing from the mythic Samudra Manthan, Sanghani reimagines the ocean’s churning as a mirror to our ecological reality, where plastic and pollution replace nectar and poison. Through over twenty mixed-media works, she is exploring coral bleaching, marine suffocation, and the fragile bond between humanity and the sea.
Rooted in her personal connection to the ocean, the Manthan becomes both reflection along with an unwavering reckoning. An invitation to churn not the waters, but our conscience. An award-winning artist trained across textile design, visual communication and fine art, Anisha’s fitork bridges mythology, material, and Modern meaning.
