SUMMARY:Nature Through My Eyes
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text css=””] \nMy practice explores the quiet dialogue between natural decay\, regeneration\, and the nocturnal landscape. Working primarily with deep\, shadowed palettes and tactile surfaces\, I investigate organic forms dry foliage\, ancient rock strata\, tangled vegetation\, and skeletal fronds as repositories of time and memory. Rather than rendering nature through literal representation\, I construct atmospheric spaces where light and form emerge from darkness. Rich\, earthy pigments\, oxidized tones\, and raw textures are punctuated by deliberate interventions of piercing blues\, luminous ochres\, and visceral crimsons. Through layering\, scraping\, impasto\, and surface manipulation\, each canvas captures the tension between structural resilience and fragile decomposition. These works serve as meditative environments that reflect on the cyclical rhythms of the earth. By isolating fragments of the natural world in deep obscurity\, I aim to evoke a primal\, subterranean quietude that invites viewers to contemplate the subtle beauty\, endurance\, and mystery inherent in the shadows of the living world.\n— Biswajit Jana\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”12061\,12062\,12063\,12064″ css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:TIME UNCHAINED
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text css=””] \nImagine trave ling so far into the future that you reach the end of time. This idea lies at the heart of Tarab Khan’s latest body of work. Fascinated by time\, memory and the fragile boundaries of reality\, Tarab imagines an end not as darkness or destruction\, but as something stranger: a universe that has run out of capacity to process itself. Reality begins to glitch. Centuries overlap. The past slips into the future. Memory\, dream and prophecy begin to occupy the same space. Within this fractured continuum\, Tarab creates an enigmatic world: an astronaut drifts through an uncertain eternity\, boats navigate impossible waters\, clouds carry wandering dreams\, and mystical creatures emerge from forgotten worlds. Familiar objects become fragments of displaced time—some remembered\, some imagined\, others perhaps belonging to a time that never existed. \nFor Tarab\, these encounters unchain time from chronology\, a lowing science and mythology\, memory and imagination\, the ancient and the yet-to-come to coexist. The universe is still running. Sti l beautiful. Sti l dreaming. But the cracks have begun to show. \nTime Unchained inhabits this threshold\, where reality forgets its rules and chronology dissolves\, leaving imagination to take its place. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”12049\,12050\,12051\,12052″ css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Prastāvanā
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text css=””] \nOnce upon a time… Long\, long ago\, In the far lands of… Each story comes with its own beginning\, sometimes generic\, sometimes offbeat. This story starts with a humble preface. This exhibition is a prologue to the chapters of the future that the artist envisions for herself. Rajlakshmi Jadhav’s story begins like any other\, with hands moulding\, shaping the present\, navigating the curveballs of life. Pursuing something inherent and dormant to the contemporary tendencies of exhibition\, this show focuses on the agency of the storytelling and the ‘hands’ that draft the ideas. The works engage with explorations of various themes and materials. Her artistic practice\, rooted in lived experiences\, meanders through snippets of mythologies\, indigenous practices\, dialectics of the real and the unreal\, the natural and the constructed. With the opening note of the show\, ‘Of Invisible Hands’ take a glance at the artist’s work which makes a poignant message on the absence of a choice\, themes of separation from an imagined reality\, and perhaps\, subtly\, on the definition of ‘agency’ itself. The works like Kaali (2020)\, Mrigtrishna (2021)\, and a few others underline how the artist exclaims without pomp\, with just a few correctly placed visuals. The second note of the “Prastävanä”\, ‘The Play of the Limbs; Hands or Wings(?)’ allows the viewer to take a glance at the artist situating herself at the cusp of the conflict\, waiting to take a flight\, waiting to show her hand at the table. Engaging with digital art practices through the works like Nightscapes 1 & 2(2020)\, this section of the show acts as an intermediate stage of her investigative abilities. The third note ‘Through the Minds\, Through the Hands’ marks a turning point in her practice\, which deliberates on silent expression of herself\, through her favourite books and movies\, causes that are close to her heart\, and people that have made her. In the process of becoming\, the artist transforms into a self- critiquing mechanism that revisits\, interrogates the past\, and seeks closure. No longer restricted by a single medium\, artworks like Nostalgia (2020)\, Corona Pandemic (2021)\, and Reflection on Body Image (2025) showcase use of every tool at her hand to express herself. The fourth and final note in this show is titled ‘Mind\, Memory\, and Material: An Ongoing Dialogue’\, with artworks like Garden of Mind (2026)\, it gives a subtle nod to the playful exploration of Mud as a nostalgic material of significance to the artist herself. These notes\, throughout the exhibition showcase an intuitive storytelling streak of the artist as a prologue for the adventures and experiences which lie ahead of her. These themes offer a non-linear viewing experience\, making the chronology of the paintings and use of specific concepts as a series obsolete. It is a preamble of an arduously adventurous journey translated onto a visual medium. The exhibition takes up a curiously experimentative approach to the display as it attempts to view every artwork\, every narrative\, as a thing that the artist wants to treat\, to release herself from the memories\, from the tentacles of the past. It is a clinical examination attempting to frame herself\, the past and the present\, for her hand in furthering the narratives that no longer suit her. “Prastävanä” is neither an overzealous demonstration of her past works\, nor an underestimation of the beginning of an art journey. It becomes a quiet reclamation of her voice\, her agency\, and her space amidst the chaos. This story\, thus\, begins with closing the book on her numerous lives till now.\n-Jyotirmayee Namjoshi \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”12010\,12011\,12012\,12013\,12014″ css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Emotional Tangibility
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text] \nEmotional tangibility explores the visible and invisible marks that emotions leave on our lives. Through diverse artistic perspectives\, the exhibition reflects on personal experiences\, social realities\, self-awareness\, resilience\, and the continuous process of growth. \nThe exhibition also considers how socially constructed language influences the structure of society. The words\, narratives\, and beliefs that we collectively create shape our perceptions\, relationships\, and social behavior. Through their artworks\, the artists invite viewers to reflect on these emotional and social imprints that define our everyday lives.\nArtist Annaray’s works reflect his reflections on social issues and consistently seeks to create awareness through his artistic practice. His woJrks address concerns that emerge from society and encourage viewers to engage in dialogue\, reflection\, and critical thinking. By questioning social constructs and the language that shapes them\, he highlights the role of art as a medium for awareness and change. \nMallikarjun’s point of view is “Embracing Changes with a Positive Mindset.” He believes that a positive mindset is all one needs to nurture and keep moving forward in life. Whatever comes our way\, whether challenges or hurdles\, it is the courage to confront them and push ourselves beyond our limits that shapes our journey. This continuous thought process forms the foundation of his artistic expression. \nMaushmi’s concept revolves around herself and her surroundings. Through her artwork\, she remains in a constant state of awareness\, learning\, and self-growth. Her artistic practice reflects an ongoing journey of understanding life\, emotions\, and human connections. Through her works\, she encourages viewers to embrace gratitude in every walk of life and to recognize the beauty of continuous personal transformation.\nTogether\, these artistic voices create a space where emotional experiences become tangible\, social realities are questioned\, and personal growth is celebrated. Emotional Tangibility invites viewers to engage with their own emotional landscapes and discover meaningful connections between self\, society\, and the world around them. \nTeam Potential Trust \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”11968\,11969\,11973″ css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Fragments of Expression
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text] \nFragments of Expression is envisioned as a dynamic confluence of artistic voices\, bringing together around 59 artists from across India in a compelling showcase of contemporary visual narratives. The exhibition celebrates diversity—not only in geography but also in thought\, technique\, and emotional depth. Each artwork stands as a fragment of a larger human experience\, collectively forming a mosaic of identity\, culture\, memory\, and imagination. \nA significant highlight of the exhibition is the inclusion of artists and artworks from Bengal\, a region long revered for its profound artistic and intellectual legacy. The Bengali contribution adds a distinctive lyrical and philosophical dimension to the show\, bridging tradition with contemporary explorations. From evocative figurative compositions to bold abstract expressions\, these works echo the cultural richness and introspective spirit that Bengal has historically nurtured. \nThe exhibition invites viewers to engage with multiple perspectives—ranging from social commentary and political undertones to deeply personal reflections and existential inquiries. Each piece becomes a dialogue\, urging the audience to pause\, interpret\, and connect with the layered meanings embedded within. \nCurated by Mr. Shubhankar Singha\, Director of Artverse. This exhibition reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to creating inclusive platforms for both emerging and established artists. \nArtverse is an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization and a Member of Multilateral Recognition Arrangement registered with the International Accreditation Forum (IAF)\, trading under the KMC Act\, 1980 and also registered with the MSME (Govt. of India) has consistently worked towards elevating artistic discourse by organizing curated exhibitions across the country. Its mission lies in fostering creative exchange\, promoting artistic excellence\, and enabling meaningful interactions between artists and audiences. \nFragments of Expression is not merely an exhibition—it is an evolving narrative of contemporary India’s artistic psyche. By bringing together varied artistic fragments under one roof\, it aspires to build connections that transcend boundaries\, encouraging a deeper appreciation of art as a universal language of expression. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”11942\,11943\,11944\,11945″ img_size=”full” css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Beyond Tradition | Two
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text] \nIn its second edition Beyond Tradition | Two: Continuity and Change in Indian Traditional Art presents twelve artists working across India’s diverse living traditions\, highlighting the dynamic and evolving nature of practices often seen as static or unchanging. Organised by Indian Arts Collective\, the exhibition situates these practices within contemporary artistic and cultural discourse.\nHistorically embedded within localised\, community-based systems of knowledge and production\, indigenous art practices have long been understood through frameworks of continuity and preservation. This exhibition reconsiders such perspectives by examining how artists actively negotiate transformation. While drawing on inherited visual vocabularies\, they respond to shifting socio-economic conditions\, new audiences\, and expanded institutional contexts\, reinterpreting materials\, iconography\, scale\, and narrative strategies. In doing so\, tradition emerges not as fixed\, but as adaptive and responsive.\nStructured around three thematic frameworks – narrative practices\, sacred traditions\, and tribal art – the exhibition reflects the diversity and internal complexity of these forms. Participating artists include Anwar Chitrakar (Kalighat)\, Gitanjali Das (Orissa Pattachitra)\, Kalyan Joshi (Phad)\, Ladobai (Bhil)\, Mahesh Vishnoi (Pichwai)\, Mohan Verma (Sanjjhi)\, Sanjay Chitara (Mata ni Pachedi)\, Ramesh Hengadi (Warli)\, Shailesh Pandit (Studio Pottery)\, Padmashri S. Shakir Ali (Miniature)\, Suresh Waghmare (Gadhwakam)\, and Venkat Ram Singh Shyam (Gond). Their works extend storytelling traditions\, engage with ritual and devotion\, and present their relationships to ecology\, community\, and ancestry.\nThe artists are recognised practitioners within their respective lineages\, many sustained across generations. Their work reflects deep engagement with material\, technique\, and cultural memory\, while addressing present-day concerns. Through exhibitions\, educational programmes\, and collaborative initiatives\, Indian Arts Collective places artists at the centre of its work\, encouraging direct engagement between artists and audiences.\nBy challenging binaries between traditional and contemporary\, rural and urban\, and indigenous and global\, Beyond Tradition | Two positions these practices as active sites of contemporary artistic production\, inviting a reconsideration of how Indian art histories are constructed.\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”11908\,11907\,11906\,11909\,11905″ img_size=”full” css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Srujan
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text css=””] \nAn Emerging Creativity Where Imagination Transforms into Form and Ideas Evolve into Creation.\n\n“Srujan” meaning the process of creation\, explores the transformation of thoughts\, emotions\, and ideas into visual form. It reflects the essence of artistic practice as a continuous and evolving journey\, one that is shaped by imagination\, exploration\, and expression. This exhibition brings together the works of first and second year students of Masters of Visual Arts\, presenting a diverse range of mediums\, techniques\, and conceptual approaches. Each artwork emerges from personal observations\, emotional experiences\, and individual perspectives\, offering unique interpretations while contributing to a collective visual dialogue. At its core\, Srujan focuses on the evolving nature of creativity. It highlights a significant phase in an artist’s journey where experimentation\, curiosity\, and discovery play a central role. The artists are in the process of developing their visual language\, navigating between intention and intuition\, and gradually shaping their artistic identities.\n\nThe exhibition emphasizes the importance of process as much as the final outcome. It acknowledges that creation involves moments of exploration\, uncertainty\, reflection\, and growth. Through this lens\, the artworks become more than finished pieces\, they become traces of thought\, process\, and transformation.\n\nThe exhibition space itself becomes an interactive and immersive environment\, encouraging viewers to engage not only with the artworks but also with the ideas and processes behind them. It invites the audience to experience a deeper connection with the act of creation\, uncovering layers of meaning\, emotion\, and intention embedded within each work.\n\n“Srujan” celebrates emerging artistic voices and the spirit of creation. It brings together diverse expressions to form a thoughtful and harmonious atmosphere\, one that reflects the energy\, sensitivity\, and dynamism of young artistic practices\, while honouring the beauty of the creative journey in its evolving form.\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”11861\,11862\,11863\,11864\,11865″ img_size=”full” css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:The Painted Window
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text css=””] \nMy windows are metaphors of life. We all have two lives\, the inner and the outer.\n\nSolitude\, intimacy\, isolation\, and warmth in the inner windows where we are participants.\n\nThe outer view is our view of the world. Often limited by our perception of what we see in the purview of the window. The unsaid\, unobserved\, and unseen too is part of looking through the window.\n\nThe viewer\, the window\, the sill and the world beyond the window becomes our collective experience of consciousness.\n\nI invite you into my window world. The play of light\, the vintage wood\, the flowers\, the birds and the sea are all part of my experience of looking out and looking within.\n\nJuxtaposing my love for vintage\, history\, sustainability with art and mixed media\, the works are a fusion of my passion for exploration.\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”11830\,11831\,11832\,11833″ img_size=”full” css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Presence of Realism
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text css=””] \nThe very idea of existence is deeply ingrained in the fabric of art\, particularly within representational practice. It reflects a profound engagement with the visible world\, capturing its essence with authenticity\, sensitivity\, and truth. The name Astitva signifies the essence of presence\, embodying the very idea of existence.\nPresence of Realism continues its journey as a platform that celebrates artists deeply committed to the discipline of representational art and the enduring rigour of classical academic training.\nIn this exhibition\, we are proud to present works by eminent senior artists Pramod Kurlekar\, Parag Borse\, Prafulla Sawant\, and Manoj Sakale. Their masterful creations are presented alongside the vibrant works of actively practising contemporary artists and educators. Rooted in classical training\, these artists have shared their knowledge and expertise with generations of students across India\, shaping and nurturing the next generation of artists.\nThis exhibition is the result of a collaborative effort between Studio Astitva and Satya Chitra – The Collective\, Founder Sucharita Singh. The show is curated by Vaibhav Naik\, Founder and Director of Studio Astitva.\nThe exhibition presents a rich diversity within representational art\, encompassing figurative and conceptual painting\, drawing\, still life\, and more. It brings together works by established senior artists as well as final-year students\, offering a glimpse into how classical training informs an artist’s journey and shapes their artistic expression.\nAs Studio Astitva continues to grow and evolve\, the vision is to cultivate a thriving and supportive community for both seasoned and emerging representational artists. We remain committed to guiding artists in the thoughtful execution and presentation of their work\, ensuring that their dedication and artistic maturity are reflected in the visual impact of their creations.\nThrough Presence of Realism\, we hope to inspire meaningful conversations with the next generation of artists—encouraging them to uphold the integrity of their practice\, honour the discipline of their training\, and deepen their respect for the art they create. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”11819\,11818\,11817\,11816\,11815\,11814\,11813″ img_size=”full” css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Atlas of the Wild: In Photography and Living Traditions of India
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text] \nAcross visual traditions\, the natural world has been understood not merely as a subject of depiction\, but as a field of knowledge shaped by observation\, memory\, and lived experience. Bringing together award-winning wildlife photography from Sanctuary Nature Foundation and indigenous and traditional artworks from the Sarmaya Art Foundation collection\, this exhibition explores how ecosystems are recorded across time\, as living\, interdependent systems shaped by reciprocity and human presence. \nModern wildlife photography in India has evolved from colonial-era staged imagery to an ethical and immersive practice that portrays animals within their habitats and ecological realities. For over two decades\, the Sanctuary Wildlife Photography Awards have recognised photographers who document rare natural history moments\, fragile habitats\, and the increasing impact of climate change and human–wildlife interaction. These images position the camera as a vital tool for conservation\, recording vulnerability\, resilience\, and urgent environmental change. \nIn dialogue with these works are living traditions of India including Gond\, Warli\, Mithila\, Bhil\, and Pattachitra. For generations\, these communities have depicted forests\, rivers\, trees\, animals\, and human life as interconnected and sentient. Through cosmologies\, rituals\, and seasonal cycles\, their works reflect reverence\, ecological familiarity\, and inherited knowledge\, presenting nature as a dynamic and sustaining system. \nThis exhibition showcases our continued support in fostering dialogues around ecology and visual culture\, reaffirming Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery’s commitment to supporting wildlife conservation through meaningful artistic collaborations. By bringing together wildlife photography and the living traditions of India\, we create a shared space where documentation intersects with inherited knowledge\, and contemporary conservation dialogues engage with time-honoured cultural memory\, strengthening collective awareness\, responsibility\, and care for the living world. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”11743\,11742\,11741″ img_size=”full” css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Celestial Terrains: Between Moonlight\, Mountains & the Sea
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text] \nLandscape\, in Peeyush Bavalia’s practice\, is not a site to be described but a condition to be inhabited. In Celestial Terrains\, the artist presents a body of work shaped by prolonged engagement with natural environments—mountains\, seas\, and moonlit skies—approached not as external spectacles but as spaces of inward attention.\nThese works emerge from lived encounters with terrain: moments of walking\, pausing\, observing\, and returning. The mountains appear as silent presences—stable yet responsive—while the sea unfolds through rhythm and repetition. Moonlight becomes a connective force\, mediating between sky and earth\, revealing form gently rather than dramatically. Across the exhibition\, light is less an optical phenomenon and more a quiet guide\, shaping depth\, distance\, and emotional tone. \nBavalia’s use of water-based and free-flowing mediums such as acrylic and ink allows form to surface gradually through layering\, tonal shifts\, and restraint. Gesture remains minimal\, often held in suspension\, creating a sense of stillness rather than resolution. The works resist narrative closure; instead\, they open into reflective spaces where time slows and perception deepens. \nWhile rooted in specific geographies\, these landscapes are not bound to place. They hover between the physical and the psychological\, transforming terrain into an emotional register. Memory\, movement\, and silence shape the surfaces as much as topography. The act of trekking—of encountering vastness through the body—inflects the work with a sense of scale that is felt rather than measured. \nIn an era dominated by speed\, noise\, and visual excess\, Celestial Terrains offers a quieter proposition. The exhibition invites viewers to linger\, to attune themselves to subtle shifts of light and form\, and to experience landscape as a meditative encounter. Here\, nature does not overwhelm; it listens. And in that listening\, a space opens for stillness\, balance\, and inward reflection. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”11730\,11731\,11732\,11733″ img_size=”full” css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Continuum: Indus-Textures of Time
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text css=””] \nThe exhibition Continuum: Indus – Textures of Time offers a profound dialogue between antiquity and the present\, where history is not merely recalled but re-envisioned through the language of contemporary art. Artist Kajal Galtonde continues her exploration of the Indus Valley Civilization\, a theme central to her earlier Sindhu Series\, and extends it into a new body of work that bridges time\, memory\, and imagination. \nHer practice draws from the symbolic richness of one of the world’s earliest urban cultures-its scripts\, motifs\, and enduring materiality. Textures reminiscent of kiln-fired bricks\, metallic impressions\, and layered surfaces evoke the tactility of ancient craftsmanship while simultaneously unfolding into the modern world. By employing mixed media and a carefully considered colour palette\, Kajal transforms fragments of history into abstracted stylized visual experiences that transcend chronological boundaries. \nRather than being confined to the raw and archaic\, these works embody a transformative journey where ancient forms are reinterpreted\, revitalized\, and woven into a contemporary aesthetic language. In this process\, history becomes less of a static record and more of a living spirit\, resonating with timeless vitality. \nThis exhibition invites viewers to walk a mystic path that reimagines the Indus legacy\, urging us to reflect on how cultural memory shapes our present and can be carried forward into the future. Through Kajal’s works\, the past finds continuity not in imitation\, but in re- creation\, allowing us to witness the enduring essence of civilization in dialogue with the now. \nNote by- Yogeshri Dhamale \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”11718\,11719\,11720\,11721″ css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Thoughts on Environment
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text] \nYesterday’s Teacher\, today’s Artist\, Forever a Mentor” \nMadhuri’s journey is a beautiful testament to the idea that creativity never truly leaves us; it simply waits for the right moment to bloom again. \nHer story carries a sense of profound continuity from her father Shrikrishna Shankar Samel’s legacy as Art Director for over 90 films in the golden era of Hindi Cinema to her own thirty five years of shaping young minds as an educator at Lions Pioneer School in Matunga after her MA and B.Ed degrees. While her career was in education\, her soul has always been that of an artist. By rediscovering the brush during the quiet\, often difficult days of the global COVID pandemic in 2020\, she has proved that art is not just a hobby\, but a form of resilience.\nHer decision to study Warli\, Gond and Madhubani art styles shows a deep respect for India’s roots. These folk arts are\, at their core\, about the very ‘balance of nature’\, making them the perfect medium for her social perspective. \nBridging tradition and Realism: Without formal training but with deep reverence to professional artists\, Madhuri immersed herself in the indigenous art forms of India:\nWarli: Capturing the rhythm of tribal life.\nGond: Celebrating the intricate patterns of nature.\nMadhubani: Honouring ancient stories through vibrant hues.\nRealism: An exploration of the world as it is.\nArt with a purpose \nMany paint for self-expression\, but for Madhuri\, it is painting for transformation. By dedicating the proceeds of her work to deserving students\, she bridges her two lives: as a teacher and the Artist\, funding futures. \nThrough her Realism and folk \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”11662\,11663\,11664\,11665\,11666\,11667\,11668″ css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Filters of Time & Derivation
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text css=””] \n\nFilters of Time and Derivation Ed. 01\nCurated by Nikhil J M Purohit & Faandee\nA curatorial initiative of Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery  \nArt\, at its core\, is a contemplative act\, a way of approaching what resists easy comprehension. The tools we rely on pictorial images\, icons\, codes\, and artistic functions shape how we learn\, operate\, interpret\, and perform. These systems are\, by nature\, unidentified\, unlabeled and they form the cognitive ground on which visual meaning is constructed.\nThis exhibition brings together a strong selection of diverse visual forms\, media\, and methods. The intent is to create an experiential and thought-engaging display that communicates the role of semiotic cognition within visual-making processes\, shaped by materiality\, cultural provenance\, and temporal framing. Each contributor may employ distinct processes and pursue radically different outcomes; however\, viewed together\, these objects open up a field of semiotic diversity\, revealing how meaning\, form\, and interpretation derive from differing creative lineages.\nEach exhibit becomes a specimen for visual investigation. Through this multidisciplinary assembly featuring practices by Bhuvanesh Gowda\, Hansodnya Tambe\, Madhav Imartey\, Neha Gawand Pullarwar\, Nilesh Kinkale\, Niteen Rangdal\, Nitin Hadap\, Nitin Arun Kulkarni\, Ruchita Madhok\, Sejal Shah Kshirsagar\, and the Vayeda Brothers. The aim is to foster comparative observations\, whether formal\, functional\, or contextual\, across visuals intended for both tangible and intangible applications. The exhibition’s interpretive cues and interactive programming further support the viewer in navigating these varied semiotic terrains.\n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Visual Momemtum
DESCRIPTION:दृश्यसंवेग — ViSUAL MOMENTUM \nThe conscious space gives birth to many forms. To create a new form\, the form must first absorb space within itself. Thus\, in reality\, space manifests or becomes embodied within the form. In Kabir’s words: “Inside the pot\, outside the pot – the void is one.” The void that seems empty is in truth conscious. Every painting must be experienced as such a space. So it is. \n  \nAn artist lives without the intention of creating memory\, yet sometimes painters or art admire feel the urge to create many works as symbolic imprints of momentary awareness. Therefore\, in their consciousness\, the painting appears as a narration of fleeting moments. This makes it difficult to locate the pure artistic ‘principle’ (kala-sutra) within a work and hence it has no narrative. To understand the principle\, one must convey its vision through stories or examples/narrations but the ‘narrative’ itself is not the principle. \n  \nPainting\, sculpture\, architecture\, drama – all must be read with the eyes\, heard with the ears\, measured by touch\, balanced through scent\, and tasted through words. Only then can one fully experience the conscious art – the “Visual Momentum” (drushyasamveg). \nWhile viewing the works of individual artists\, one must experience the following: in the visual impulse of the forms there lies force\, movement\, rotation\, and dissolution\, its effects\, direction\, and condition are seen in physical visible form of momentum. \nThis should be observed inwardly. \nThe rhythm of the surface within space\, the rhythm of the areas upon the surface this principle of rhythm is the visual soul of every painter’s work. What one experiences when seeing the pictorial sky\, the pictorial space\, is expressed in the following lines: \n  \nताल\, तोल\, लय श्यामश्वेत अंबर\, घडे निरंतर हेचि दृश्यध्यान. \n“Rhythm\, balance\, cadence in the black-and-white sky\, Forever forming – this is the meditation of sight.” \nA painting is the path of a traveller of art\, a way that is destined toward art itself. \nA painting is not the final destination of art – and this understanding is evident in the works of the artists in th es beyond form becomes known.” \nThis is the inner pictorial experience of these artists\, expressed beautifully in the line: \n  \nअंबर ते ध्यान लागे अंबरी\, कर अंबरी करोनिया. \n“When the sky becomes meditation\, The hand becomes the sky itself.” \nAll these artists are attempting to capture the space within the picture plane\, and pictorial consciousness through visual language. Some have used geometry as a basis\, some have used textures\, others have used lines\, and still others have utilized the repetition of pictorial elements or color dimensions. What one feels while viewing their works is captured in the lines: \n  \nडोळीयाने जाणा डोळीयाने जाणा\, दृश्याची गणना मना कोण करी. \n“Know it through the eyes\, know it through the eyes\, Who can measure the vision with the mind?” \nThese artists have understood the subtle distinction between bhāva (inner feeling) and bhāvana (emotion). That’s when the lines come to mind: \n  \nभावेवीण चित्नशिल्प न कळे निसंदेह\, स्वाध्यायवीण दृश्यानुभव कैसाकळे. \n“Without inner feeling\, sculpture and painting cannot be understood; Without self-study\, how can one comprehend visual experiences?” \nTo sustain the cyclical repetition of the visual experience\, it is necessary to con- tinuously engage in the visual contemplation of the seeing: \nदेखावा वाचावा भाव हा दृश्याचा\, आत्मा जो कलेचा दृश्य जप. \nRead the scene\, understand the emotion of visual for the soul of art lies in preserving the visual. \nToday\, it seems easy to gain fame before attaining mastery\, especially through artificial intelligence. Machine-generated designs are more visible everywhere. Yet these six artists overcome this challenge and strive to transform the flowing visual tradition in tune with time. \nTheir works reveal the principle of nature’s essence through each creation.

SUMMARY:Through the Veil of Rangeen-by Urvi Chheda
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””] \nThrough the Veil of Rangeen \nColour often appears as the most immediate element of visual experience\, yet it carries depths far beyond its surface. It moves through perception\, mood\, and memory—shaping how we sense and respond to the world. \nThrough the Veil of Rangeen begins with this idea of colour as an affective and cultural force\, unfolding into Rangeen—an Urdu word that means colourful yet holds many shades of meaning: joyful\, passionate\, spirited\, and playful. In everyday language\, a rangeen mizaj person is one attuned to life’s sensations\, its beauty and its excesses. \nThe exhibition gathers artists whose works stretch this idea of Rangeen—from the abstract to the figurative\, from the tactile to the digital. Minal Damani’s delicate mark-making\, Rajbhar’s expressionist excess\,  Jyotee’s screenplay of abstraction\, and Dr Audra’s layered warmth explore colour as emotion and intuition. Abhishek Rathod’s vivid figurations of labour and resilience\, Hemant Shinde’s ecological forms\, and Koustav’s chromatic politics extend colour into social consciousness. Neha’ fragile forms turn colour into tenderness\, while Dipali Gupta and Pankaj Khalode’s erotic forms merge desire and introspection\, pushing Rangeen into its corporeal register. In the digital works of Soumya and Neeraj\, Rangeen moves through motion and sound—reflecting urban commotion and the lingering rhythm of home. \nThrough the Veil of Rangeen traces a journey from colour as perception to Rangeen as temperament and lived experience. Here\, colour is not merely seen—it is felt\, remembered\, and desired. It becomes a way of being in the world: shifting\, intimate\, and inexhaustibly alive. Are you alive? \nCurator \nUrvi Chheda \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Vishnuh- Vasanth Rao
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text] \nI am text block. Click edit button to change this text. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet\, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus\, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis\, pulvinar dapibus leo. \n[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””] \nVishnuh The term Vishnu is dissolved as Veveshti Vyaapnoti iti Vishnuh-That which pervades everywhere is Vishnu. He is the one who pervades all and nothing ever pervades Him. ‘Eesaavaasyam Idam Sarvam’- All this is indwelt\, pervaded by the Lord. This very same idea is described in the typical style of the Puranas\, in the incarnation of the Lord as Vaamana\, the short-boy (Vamana)\, who\, with His three feet\, measured the entire universe. Because of this act\, the Lord got the name Vishnu\, says the Vishnu Purana. The root ‘Vis’ means ‘to enter’. The entire world of things and beings is pervaded by Him and the Upanishad emphatically insists in its mantra ‘whatever that is hange’. Hence at He is not limited by space (Desa)\, time (Kaala) or substance (Vastu). \nAs an artist I believe that Art is not just a drawing or visual representation for me but rather beyond that. It has been a key tool and process of discovering myself. It is my visual diary wherein I note and express my explorations. Though my journey began 29 years ago with expressing objects and experiences of my external world\, it soon turned into Self-discovery process. For me\, Art is that eminent medium that helps me discover my core soul aspects like sex and spirituality. This accelerated and graduated my curiosity in key areas Self\, and thus\, sex and Spirituality became my subject exploration which I try to represent visually through my art. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”11394\,11395\,11396″ css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:GANDHI’S INDIA & INDIA’S GANDHI – Curated by Raju Sutar
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text css=””] \nTo the world\, India is inseparable from the legacy of Gandhi—a nation born of his ideals. Global perceptions often highlight India’s emergence from colonial suffering into strength\, resilience\, and sovereignty. Yet within India\, Gandhi evokes a far more complex response. We revere him\, emulate him\, critique him\, even reshape and sometimes reject his image in the mirror of our times. \nThis series is a heartfelt reflection—my personal journey into the abstract\, multifaceted idea we call GANDHI. \nMy artistic journey has long been captivated by the figure of Gandhi. Each of us\ncarries a distinct image of him—shaped by perception\, memory\, and myth. As I delved deeper into the phenomenon of Gandhi\, I encountered a multitude of complex\, often contradictory ideas—some I embraced\, others I challenged—but all left a lasting impact. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”11293\,11294\,11295\,11296″ css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””] \nDuring my travels across the world\, I witnessed the deep reverence his name still commands. Even today\, his ideals inspire and resonate; there’s a timeless\, almost magnetic quality to the way people respond to him. \nTo me\, Gandhi felt like a conceptual artist—employing symbols such as the *Salt March* and the *Charkha* not just as political tools\, but as powerful visual metaphors. These objects became vehicles for personal and collective reflection\, guiding individuals toward self-awareness and socio-political consciousness. \nThis series is my attempt to interpret Gandhi through a visual lens\, using archival photographs and historical imagery to construct a layered\, personal reflection on who he was\, how he is remembered\, and what he continues to  represent. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:Rolling with the Passage - Priyanka Tayal
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text css=””] \nArt is never still. It shifts\, bends and rolls – just as life itself does. Rolling with the Passage brings together abstract artworks that explore the rhythm of change and the beauty of surrendering to movement. \nEach piece is less about fixed meaning and more about the experience: the gesture of a brushstroke\, the layering of the color\, the tension between chaos and calm. The works invite viewers to pause\, drift and travel with the forms as they unfold – without destination\, only passage. \nThis show is a meditation on fluidity – of thought\, of time\, of being. To “roll with the passage” is to let go of resistance and find harmony in motion. The exhibition opens a space where abstraction becomes both journey and companion\, echoing the ways we navigate our own shifting landscapes. \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”11104\,11105\,11106\,11107\,11108\,11109″ css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]
