Mumbai 24 is an exhibition of paintings by Mukhtar Kazi. The show will be inaugurated by Dr. Jitendra Awahad on 24th February 2014 at 5.00 pm.
Mukhtar Kazi, born in 1977 at Taloli District, Thane - Maharashtra, started his career as a self taught artist and has recently completed his Diploma in Fine Arts. Though he is a versatile painter, his passion is doing abstract painting but he has good command over realistic work as well as all mediums right from acrylic to oil to water colour. He has participated in many group shows in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Jaipur and Indore in India and also in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has participated in few art camps including North Zone Cultural Center camp by ministry of culture at Chandigarh. One of his works was selected for the award as the best painting of the show by eminent art critic Keshav Malik in a group exhibition held by Kalakriti Foundation at New Delhi in 2012. His paintings are in collection of many private collectors and government institutes in India as well in abroad. Mukhtar has also been commissioned to do huge abstract and fresco paintings.
