"Rhapsody Of Colours" by Jigna Chaturvedi is an exhibition of paintings in support of "BETI" initiative of Union Park Residents Association (Mumbai).
Impressionism flooded her canvas with colors that swirled to form portraits of a beautiful world. Thin strokes of a brush that highlighted the hues, a vision of magnificence and a vivid palette bring a characteristic charm to her paintings. Grand landscapes find their home on these confined frames, bringing the depth and serenity with them. A beautiful medley of time flows within the paintings showing the true essence of a moment captured forever. A piece of art is created, that leaves a sense of splendor lingering in the minds of an observer.
Inspired by the works of legendary artists like Claude Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh of the 19th century, Jigna has reflected on her canvas the beauties around her through the impressionistic and realistic styles of painting.
Jigna is a passionate self-trained painter. The context, and the colors, which ultimately exude happy feelings are the factors that inspire her. She, therefore, does not restrict her work to one concept but allows her flow towards any visual delight that might excite and inspire her. Being an avid traveler and a nature loving person she is always quite inundated with concepts and visuals, which she captures, to be transformed with care and perfection on her canvas.
With a Graduation in the field of Commerce, and a post graduation Diploma in Business Management, she worked for over 16 years in the corporate world as a senior executive of a Public Sector Organization in India. She pursued her painting hobby, though scantily, while she balanced her family and work life.
Encouraged by her husband, she had her first Oil on Canvas exhibition in 2004, in Mumbai, India.
