The Season
Viewed simplistically, the Seasons are apparently the depiction of moments which nature sometimes expresses itself in its own way spontaneously encompassing most of the dimensions of what is known as beauty and aesthetics, all seems marvellously orchestrated by the divine. One has only to look around and grasp it in its entirety.
The Seasons presented by artist Sayaram Waghmare evoke subjective as well as objective dialogical processes among the humans. On the objective level, it shows the glamorous and a skilful play of light and shadows shed on the intrinsically dynamic clouds and on the serene earth where a slightest stroke of his brush has made a difference. The light and shadow, the clouds and the earth appear engaged in rigorous and yet sublime interaction. The artist adeptly evolved the moods on which the eyes of the viewers keep moving again and again over the canvas finally to view into the abyss beyond the frame, into the universe. The universe in this context means not only something out there but something that is right within one’s very being/self as well. The continuous dialogical process, which does not allow tranquillity to prevail, unfolds the innermost fundamental truth of life. This remains the artistic essence of the paintings and the immense dexterous credibility of the artist.
