Bapu Zanje's long time involvement in sculpting & painting is an odyssey in the pursuit of the most expressive objectification of the aesthetics of womanhood.
Art, as the expression of constant meditation, ideals, the dreams & aesthetic reactions of time upholds a different kind of theatricality & posturing in his works. Every piece of work is a continuation of his constant effort to reinvent & reinterpret the image & iconography of the aesthetics of womanhood with beautiful figures & attractive faces. He employs Black basalt stone to carve out the imagery of his beautiful & poetic vocabulary.
One of the finest exhibitions we have seen around this time is "Shrungar" as rightly & justifiably captioned by the artist has twenty beautiful sculptures on display.
