Untold stories of the World

Ancient folk painting and art styles have been passed down from generation to generation, and are still practised in different parts of the world. Each piece depicts the country’s deep rooted history of and diverse culture giving it a sense of antiquity, vintage and nostalgia.

From Bali paintings inspired by the importance of cultivation to India’s Phad, a religious form of scroll painting depicting folk deities, the list is endless. Join us as we showcase some of the Untold stories of the World.

In 2015, far away from the beaten track, avoiding the kinds of places where people mostly hang out, we went on not-so-travelled roads; we found handmade items of dazzling beauty.

We met the craftsmen of these pieces, sat with them while they worked, and we all shared our stories- our ideas clicked; so we decided to work together.

Nevertheless, behind this lied the curtain of the theatre of modern life; another reality. A reality where imagination and touch, are some kind of luxurious magic passed down through families for centuries, in search of its own space in today’s contemporary lifestyle.
