Artists often explore new horizons and challenge what is accepted as convention. Pune artist Pallavi Hivarkar is no exception. A life-long love of painting morphed into a career choice after finishing her graduation in Engineering.
Pallavi’s work use mediums such as Oils, Acrylics, Pencils, Watercolors and Charcoal to express feeling, color and emotions. Oil is her favorite medium and she has worked on landscapes, portraits, abstracts, still life as well as florals. She brings a subtle and sophisticated feel to her paintings through a unique balance of color, composition and texture. Her work has been exhibited in Pune at Bal Gandharva Kala Mandir.
“I make sure that I don’t stay locked up in the studio for too long. I get out, explore the world and other forms of art for inspiration. I love to travel and explore the nature. I think this balance helps to keep my creative energy fresh and exciting” says Pallavi.
