Pradnya Mohite brings alive the rich bio-diversity of the World Natural Heritage site of Kas Hills in the lush Western Ghats region of her native Satara using swirling forms and luminous colours. Her imaginative excursions into abstract art make expressive use of leaves, seeds, pollen, and flowering forms juxtaposed with the butterfly motif. Her aptly titled “Rebirth” series in flowing water colors and mixed media captures the exuberant and regenerative spirit of nature. A graduate of the BVA program with a Masters in Theatre Art, Pradnya makes every art work shine with the wanton beauty and rapture of creation. Her art is truly a journey into the evolutionary processes of nature.
