Naznin Lalani is a Mumbai based artist. An entirely self taught artist. She quit her job as an Architect-Urban planner to embark on an artistic adventure. She finds pleasure in painting simple daily life objects which are often neglected or discarded after use. Her keen observation on such discarded objects forms the base of her visual rendering. The water colour treatment she serves and the play of light shadow, gives the much felt visual poetry of being used and discarded. She has participated in many group shows in India and outside India in France, Japan, Poland, Kosovo, Bangladesh, Russia, Switzerland etc. She is having her first solo show in the Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery Mumbai from Monday 20th to Saturday 25th May, 2024 daily between 11.00 a.m. & 7.00 p.m.
