Timeless The Art Academy Moments organize intensive workshop on enamel jewellery on copper with silver foil on Wednesday 16th March, 2022 at Kamalnayan Bajaj Art Gallery, Mumbai . The course will provide the knowledge of the use of enamel in contemporary jewellery. It will give an opportunity to create one’s own design and learn how to enamel it, finish and ready to wear. Participants will learn how to prepare raw copper pieces for jewellery and create their own designs. Silver foil (Ginbary technique).
Silver Foil – Ginbari is an ancient enamel technique developed by Japanese artists. It is also the name of the thicker silver foil used to make one of a kind or repeated design motifs in jewellery. These designs show through your transparent enamels and add an extra layer of surface texture and pattern. This is an excellent technique in contemporary enamelling for unique design, as the foil gives bright and vibrant effect than metal surface. It could be applied with various other techniques too.
At the end of the workshop participants will wear and walk with 1 set of pendant & earring pair or a bracelet/brooch.
