Presence of Realism continues its journey as a platform that celebrates artists deeply committed to the discipline of representational art and the enduring rigour of classical academic training.
In this exhibition, we are proud to present works by eminent senior artists Pramod Kurlekar, Parag Borse, Prafulla Sawant, and Manoj Sakale. Their masterful creations are presented alongside the vibrant works of actively practising contemporary artists and educators. Rooted in classical training, these artists have shared their knowledge and expertise with generations of students across India, shaping and nurturing the next generation of artists.
This exhibition is the result of a collaborative effort between Studio Astitva and Satya Chitra – The Collective, Founder Sucharita Singh. The show is curated by Vaibhav Naik, Founder and Director of Studio Astitva.
The exhibition presents a rich diversity within representational art, encompassing figurative and conceptual painting, drawing, still life, and more. It brings together works by established senior artists as well as final-year students, offering a glimpse into how classical training informs an artist’s journey and shapes their artistic expression.
